Abstract: In 2015, a survey of recognized and accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education (DMSE) Programs was conducted to gather basic information about program demographics, characteristics of high performing DMSE program, and community engagement and partnerships. The findings were documented in the Nebraska Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs 2015 Report. This brief report is an annual update to the 2015 Report. Updated data was collected from July through August of 2016. The results from this updated report will allow us to see the progress we have made over the last year in providing diabetes self-management education to diabetic patients, as well as guide us in our continuing efforts to develop and expand DSME programs further across our state.
