Foreword

Abstract

FIRST PARAGRAPH(S)|Like all law school deans, I am always extremely proud when our law school hosts a Conference for law professors, judges, lawyers and law students on an interesting and topical subject in the legal field. The Conference on Interjurisdictional Marriage Recognition, however, was a very special Conference, and I am pleased to accept the invitation of our Law Review Board to add a Forward to these proceedings so that I might mention the unique measure of this meeting.|First, the Conference was co-sponsored by three American law schools. That, in and of itself, is most unusual. I am indebted to my colleagues, Dean Bernard Dobranski of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law; and, Dean H. Reese Hansen of the Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School; for their initial willingness to co-sponsor the Conference, and for their efforts before and during the Conference to ensure its success...
