Here are seventy-two stories on some 109 pages. The stories are taken from various ancient sources, including the bible and Jewish tradition. The stories are arranged by subjects. Schatz' original illustrations are lovely. The extended illustration on front and back cover gives a good sense of the book's strong sense of color. My favorite illustrations are the cat on 53, the school of fish on 59, and the walking bird on 71. The designs repeat.en_US
