"As Amazon's description declares, "Turn story time into an interactive learning experience with four timeless tales and Ollie -- The Talking, Teaching Owl pen! This set includes four beautifully illustrated, 24-page storybooks, each with 11 interactive early learning activities designed to help children master important skills. Perfect for independent, self-paced learning, these books and activities help children master reading comprehension and other critical academic skills." This book is indeed fun. There is one challenge on each pair of pages, with 2-3 correct and 2-3 incorrect answers. Ollie either praises you in words or sings a happy song for correct answers. This well-told version of the story has the ant coming back to her home time and again during summer to gather more and more food. There is then a two-page spread for fall, during which both continue their activity. When the ant wakes up one day to snow, she knows that winter is here and she can stop working and enjoy her cozy home. In the end, the ant feels sorry for the grasshopper, who declares that he has learned his lesson and will treat the ant to a feast next winter. There is a time to work and a time to play. The art on these shiny, plastic 24 pages fits the approach to the story. This male grasshopper wears a hat and eyeglasses and plays a violin. The female ant has a flower in what would be her hair. Answering the well-varied questions for each pair of pages is fun!"
